Training teaches the body and raises its functional level, using strength and motor potential to produce sporting excellence. A fitness routine/workout only works the body and raises its conditioning state. A fitness routine/workout does not place demands on the adaptation of the nervous system to produce sporting excellence. A workout only conditions and uses the abilities you already have. In other words, training makes you stronger and faster, while a workout does not.
Explosive Mechanics is not a franchise. We do not have rules and regulations. We do what we do to get results. We are not into the "now" or "fad" style workouts. If an exercise does not work, we throw it out. Just because something looks good does not mean it works or produces a desired result. A drill may look good, but drills only use abilities one already has. We develop and build athletes, not big bulky people who cannot move.
Athletes have to push to improve and not settle for what they have. Training is not easy, but its worth it. Explosive is not for everyone; It's only for those willing to listen and work. We do not workout. We train...
Explosive Mechanics thrives on results, using experience and science. Being a creative coach means trying new training methods to see if they are effective and integrating them in a training system.
We do things differently and know what you need and do not try to sell ourselves on the popularity of the latest fad or trend. We are not a fitness facility. We are a training facility. Training is a process, and different qualities take time to develop. If an athlete tries to develop a quality without developing the necessary strengths for that quality he or she will fail.
Being in a weight class at your high school is ok, but more often than not they are working out - not training. Progress is not constantly monitored, individual differences are not taken into account, and specific strengths are not being developed. They are not constantly testing to see if what they are doing is giving them the results they want. We keep all training records and can show proof of results.
We are trying to help our athletes make it to the next level and receive athletic scholarships. We are not a quick fix facility. We need hard work, determination, and dedication.
