Our Methods
Explosive Mechanics is not for everyone! We do things differently and know what you need to build speed, strength, and improve agility. We develop and build athletes, not big, bulky people who cannot move. Athletes have to push to improve and not settle for what they have. Training is not easy, but it's worth it.
TRAINING
Speed
Many Explosive athletes have improved by 1 full second in the 40-yard dash in less than a year. All athletes improve on their speed. We are after a noticeable difference in speed, not just a few tenths! All times are by the same electronic/laser system used at the NFL Combine. Each athlete is tested at the end of each month.
Jumping
Jumping ability is determined by your level of strength and rate of force production. Technical changes can result in an immediate increase, but for a continual increase, one must follow a program consisting of strength and explosive training. Improvement of more than 10 inches in less than a year is common at Explosive Mechanics.
Strength
Strength is the base for athletic movements; the bigger the base, the higher the potential. Maximum strength is a prerequisite for explosive movements. Some athletes will go through several phases before specific sporting exercises are implemented. The athlete will only be as solid as his or her base. Maximum progress cannot be made efficiently without proper ongoing assessments and technique changes. We continually monitor and adjust your program and technique for your needs and goals.
